The Senior Controlling Specialist plays a critical role within the Controlling team by monitoring and managing budgets and costs for assigned areas. Acting as a key link between finance and assigned areas, this role ensures transparency, accuracy, and proactive cost management. The Senior Controlling Specialist will monitor financial performance, oversee budget execution, and provide actionable insights to support operational efficiency and overall profitability.

As a Controlling Specialist, you will:

  • Own the budget for assigned areas and ensure accurate and timely cost recording.
  • Partner with stakeholders to oversee ongoing and ad-hoc costs.
  • Lead monthly cost review meetings with stakeholders to monitor expenses, confirm accruals,  and recommend adjustments to plans when needed.
  • Participate in the month-end accounting closing process and handle accruals and reconciliations for assigned areas/teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between cost owners and Finance, ensuring clear communication and alignment on financial matters.
  • Ensure data integrity through systematic reviews, reconciliations, and process controls.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and present findings to management and key stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong controlling mindset and ensure adherence to controlling policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, Operations & Treasury) to align financial reporting and processes. 
  • Drive special projects and process-improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial governance.
  • Lead the financial forecasting process for assigned areas, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior team members, contributing to capability development within the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
  • Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with G-Suite.
  • A detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across teams.

This is a temporary position with a fixed-term contract. The role is set for an initial period of 9 months, offering a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to meaningful projects. While renewal isn’t guaranteed, strong performance and business needs may open future opportunities within the company.
