Let's start with the role

The IAM Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing User Access Management (UAM) operational performance, ensuring that access provisioning, modification, and decommissioning activities are executed in line with defined SLAs, KPIs, and governance requirements.

The role acts as the central coordination and control point between UAM operations, internal stakeholders, and GRC, while supporting continuous improvement through process optimization and automation enablement. The position does not perform hands-on access administration but ensures that access management is centralized, controlled, auditable, and scalable across all systems and markets.

As a IAM (Identity & Access Management) Operations Specialist, you will:
  • Monitor UAM operational performance to ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and business KPIs across provisioning, update, and decommissioning activities.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve UAM operational processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and process information required to onboard new or existing systems into the UAM procedures.
  • Ensure that all system access are formally included in the centralized UAM lifecycle process.
  • Track and report automation improvements within the UAM procedures to GRC and management.
  • Support the GRC team during internal and external audits by collecting, validating, and delivering evidence demonstrating effective access controls.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new roles, markets, and organizational changes into the UAM framework.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document, review, audit, and strengthen access requirements for systems and applications.
  • Act as a governance point of contact for UAM-related process questions, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and access lifecycle processes.
  • Experience working within GRC, security operations, or regulated environments.
  • Ability to monitor and interpret KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with audit requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI, SOC, SOX – depending on environment).
  • Process-oriented mindset with focus on standardization, automation, and control effectiveness.
  • Ability to influence and operate across technical and non-technical teams.
