Finance Project Lead (Business Development)

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and International Expansion.

As a Finance Project Lead, you will take ownership of finance workstreams across new market launches, strategic initiatives, and M&A-related projects, ensuring that every expansion is delivered with strong financial foundations, full compliance, and clear decision support.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Business, and external partners, acting as a key driver of execution and strategic insight.

• Own finance readiness for new market entries, covering entity setup, licensing, and regulatory requirements 
• Translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear, actionable finance plans
• Ensure markets launch with robust, compliant, and scalable finance structures 

• Lead coordination across Tax, Treasury, Reporting, Revenue, and FP&A teams 
• Define timelines, dependencies, and governance to ensure seamless delivery 
• Proactively identify and resolve risks to keep projects on track 

• Develop business cases, financial models, and scenario analyses for expansion and strategic investments 
• Contribute to M&A activities, including financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning 
• Partner with leadership to support data-driven investment decisions 

• Build and own financial models, ROI analyses, and sensitivity scenarios 
• Provide clear, structured recommendations to senior stakeholders 
• Enable faster, better-informed decisions across markets and initiatives 

• Support the transition from launch to steady-state operations 
• Ensure alignment with local regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements 
• Contribute to building scalable finance processes across geographies

What you will bring

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) 
• 5–7+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or project-based roles 
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects 
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills 
• Solid understanding of core finance functions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Reporting) 
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills 
• Experience working in international or fast-paced environments

• Experience in M&A (due diligence, transactions, or integrations) 
• Exposure to international expansion or market entry projects 
• Experience with finance systems or ERP implementations
