Let's start with the role

As a Gaming & Rewards - Experimentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the experimentation strategy that shapes product decisions across the Gaming & Rewards vertical. This role is essential to fostering a data-driven culture where continuous testing and learning directly influence product roadmaps and user experiences.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments that validate new features and improve the player experience. You'll use your expertise to translate experimentation outcomes into strategic product recommendations. By facilitating the prioritization of features and building frameworks for rigorous testing, you will help ensure that every product iteration is optimized for impact.

You will work closely with Product Data Analysts who will provide the deep data insights you need to focus on experimentation design and strategy, ensuring each test yields actionable results that can drive the product forward.

Key Responsibilities

Experimentation and Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and other experiment types to evaluate new product features, optimizations, and user experience enhancements.
  • Shape the experimentation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs, while prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
  • Establish and evolve the internal experimentation framework, developing best practices and standardized processes to ensure testing efficiency and consistency across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and design teams to ensure experiments are designed and implemented properly, with clear hypotheses and aligned with key business objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret experimentation results to generate actionable insights that will directly inform product strategy and influence major product decisions.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation across the Gaming & Rewards vertical, helping teams prioritize evidence-based decision-making and learning from both successful and unsuccessful tests.

Reporting and Communication

  • Synthesize and communicate experiment outcomes and their strategic implications to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, product, and design teams.
  • Compile concise reports to highlight experiment performance, key findings, business implications, and actionable recommendations.
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration with Business Intelligence, UX, CX, and Analytics teams to provide a comprehensive view of user journeys and product impact.

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Identify test opportunities and refine experimentation through data-driven insights.Ensure experiments are statistically sound and aligned with strategic goals, collaborating with Product Data Analysts to maintain accurate tracking and measurement criteria.
  • Collaborate with the Product Data Analysts to ensure accurate data tracking and clear measurement criteria for every experiment.

Requirements

Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in product analytics or product management with a strong focus on experimentation and A/B testing in a consumer internet or high-growth environment.
  • Expertise in experiment design, execution, and analysis, particularly A/B and multivariate testing, with a solid understanding of statistical rigor and best practices.
  • Proven track record in driving product strategy through experimentation insights, with an ability to balance data with business needs.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and experience collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex results into compelling, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with experimentation platforms (Kameleoon, Optimizely, AB Tasty, etc)  and product analytics tools (FullStory, Looker, etc) or other relevant tools.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and guide decision-making with evidence-based recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, translating experiment results into strategic product insights.
  • Experience collaborating with analytics, product management, and design teams to foster a data-driven, test-and-learn culture.
