Let’s start with the role

The Controlling Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Controlling team by monitoring and managing budgets and costs for assigned areas. Acting as a key liaison between finance and other teams, this role ensures effective communication and collaboration across departments. The Controlling Specialist will be responsible for tracking financial performance, providing cost management insights, and driving adherence to financial targets, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the company.

 As a Controlling Analyst, you will:

  • Monitor budget performance and ensure accurate cost recording for assigned areas/teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to oversee ongoing and ad-hoc costs.
  • Lead monthly cost reviews with stakeholders to track expenses, confirm accruals, and evaluate plan adjustments.
  • Support the month-end accounting closing process, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Act as a liaison between cost stakeholders and finance teams.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data through systematic reviews and reconciliations.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and present to management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to controlling procedures and promote a strong control mindset across the company.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial control processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, Operations & Treasury) to align financial reporting and processes. 
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant experience in Controlling, Financial analysis or a similar role;
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across teams.
  • Advance proficiency in Excel and familiarity with G-Suite.
  • Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
