What’s in it for you
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our newly formed Data Self Service (DSS) department. This function is the first line of support between business stakeholders and the BI department, designed to streamline requests, promote self-service, and accelerate delivery of insights.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal data requests from business units, identifying scope and complexity;
- Categorize requests into ad-hoc (small) and project-level (medium/large), solving the former independently and escalating the latter to the appropriate Core BI teams;
- Build and maintain scalable and modular Databricks notebooks (including parameterized templates) to support self-service use cases;
- Actively contribute to the creation and evolution of Genie Workspaces, promoting a culture of data self-service and empowerment;
- Support stakeholders with training, guidance, and thoughtful support to increase autonomy over time;
- Advocate for automation, identifying repetitive tasks and building systems to reduce manual interventions;
- Collaborate with Core BI and other analytics teams to align on best practices, tooling, and handover protocols.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or related);
- Strong SQL proficiency and ability to develop efficient and well-structured queries;
- Experience working with Databricks or familiarity with notebook-style development environments;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data topics to non-technical stakeholders;
- A patient, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset when engaging with stakeholders and providing support;
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to evaluate and triage incoming tickets;
- Ability to work independently on short-term tasks while maintaining a long-term mindset toward reusable solutions and scalability;
- Passion for process improvement and automation in an analytics environment;
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with Python (especially within the context of data analysis and automation using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy);
- Familiarity with Genie or other LLM-based data exploration tools;
- Previous experience in a self-service analytics or support-oriented data team;
- Knowledge of data cataloging, version control for analytics code, and analytics best practices;
- Understanding of stakeholder support and enablement methodologies (e.g., training delivery, FAQ creation, playbooks).
